We Be Stylin’

If you know me well, I am someone of interdisciplinary. Jane of all trades, master of none. Hihi.

Was browsing through my old folders and found a few images from a shoot I styled for Nel, Nelissa Hilman. It was rather last minute, did it at the swimming pool area of the apartment. Props were purchased the morning before if I wasn’t mistaken.

We used these images for Social Media as well as EDMs.

Being an entreprenuer means flexibility and an open-mind. You are always challenged and also pushed out of your comfort zone. Learning is a big part of the whole journey.

This was just the first of my product styling, I have also done food styling, food photography, product shoot and more. I am both comfortable behind and in front of the lens.

Last Night

So I attended Malaysia Business Awards last night at Shang KL. A place so dear to me. Many dance practises, parties and functions held there.

Took my dad as my +1 last night. Also a place dear to him. He used to attend his Royal Rotary Club of Kuala Lumpur meetings there every Wednesday. Rotary Club, close to me too. Arwah Ki was the president once and there is a fellowship named after him for his tremendous contribution to charity. I adore you Arwah Ki. Such a man.

Anyways, super proud of Khaidi. Didn’t know he was nominated. Didn’t know Bulb was nominated either. Awesome work guys!

A toilet selfie won’t hurt no. Hihi.

Good Rituals

January 2017, a month in 2017 has passed us by. So quickly. Did you notice it? I sure did, work has been really busy but fun. Many projects coming in. Alhamdulillah, syukur.

I’m slowly adapting into new positive rituals while slowly tossing out them nasty shit.

  1. Do everything thoroughly, thoughtfully and with intent.
Have a good intent. Do it right. If it doesn’t feel right, stop and just leave it be.
  2. Try doing nothing for 10 minutes a day at least.
You deserve a downtime. Complete solace.
  3. Disconnect from technology and work for a while when you get home.
Take a break. Recharge. Realign. You’d be able to do more chores in a shorter period of time. Get to do things at a better quality too without the distraction.
  4. Be present when you are with your loved ones.
With technology at your fingertip, we tend to focus on it so much more. Social Media will forever be there, but the ones around us might not. Take a break from tech and be there. Be present. You don’t want to be missing out on major life events.
  5. Start a journal/blog.
Write things down. This helps you to remember and also a good way to reflect. It could be virtual or even in a book. What works for you, should work for you.
  6. Prioritize.
Your task, your goals, your time and the people you love. Focus on what is truly important first!

Hope this rituals follows through. What’s yours? Any tips for me? Do share.

A Letter to Myself #1

It’s January 2017, the very first month in 2017. It’s been absolutely amazing. Alhamdulillah. Syukur indeed I am. Many important dates accomplished.

The year may have just started, but I’ve already crossed out a couple of my goals. So glad at how things are panning out for me. Hard work and hustlin’ has definitely been fruitful.

I’m a person who has many goals; financial, health, wealth, travel and many more. Some are written down in my trusty silver organizer and some on my phone. I’m toying with the idea of using Evernote but we shall see as my love for pen and paper is still too strong.

I’ve been in the dumps and I’ve been at better places but I know I’d be at an even greater level God-willingly. I’m also grateful to go through a few ordeals to reach certain goals with you by my side.

As for those haters and assumers who plays God. Continue your speculation and assumptions, you’re just fuelling me. Clearly I am way ahead hence you’re so green right now.

Alhamdulillah. To greater things in life.

Mondayitis Wise Words

It’s all about the people you see on Sundays.
Best friends are made on Sundays.
You grow deeper bonds with family, with yourself and with your connection to others.

Sunday Funday is a great way to end one week, while starting another.
You see the true quality if your life when you hang out with other passionate souls on a Sunday.
