Steal the Teal

Being inspired is one thing. Imitating is another. Faking it till we make it is a good form of learning too. But stealing from others, just so wrong at every level. Stealing goods or valueable of other’s stoops you down.

Good Rituals

January 2017, a month in 2017 has passed us by. So quickly. Did you notice it? I sure did, work has been really busy but fun. Many projects coming in. Alhamdulillah, syukur.

I’m slowly adapting into new positive rituals while slowly tossing out them nasty shit.

  1. Do everything thoroughly, thoughtfully and with intent.
Have a good intent. Do it right. If it doesn’t feel right, stop and just leave it be.
  2. Try doing nothing for 10 minutes a day at least.
You deserve a downtime. Complete solace.
  3. Disconnect from technology and work for a while when you get home.
Take a break. Recharge. Realign. You’d be able to do more chores in a shorter period of time. Get to do things at a better quality too without the distraction.
  4. Be present when you are with your loved ones.
With technology at your fingertip, we tend to focus on it so much more. Social Media will forever be there, but the ones around us might not. Take a break from tech and be there. Be present. You don’t want to be missing out on major life events.
  5. Start a journal/blog.
Write things down. This helps you to remember and also a good way to reflect. It could be virtual or even in a book. What works for you, should work for you.
  6. Prioritize.
Your task, your goals, your time and the people you love. Focus on what is truly important first!

Hope this rituals follows through. What’s yours? Any tips for me? Do share.

LDN

Dear London,

Indeed you are one of my favourite cities. Perhaps I love you so due to the fact you we’re the first place I visited with my hard earned money when I was just 11. Knowing my idol, Arwah Ki was also the High Comm makes me love it even more. Ayah spent his high school and uni days there too.

My recent trip to London however was a bitter one. My heart was so heavy to leave, I fell sick while I was there and an incident happened that changed me. It made me the person I am today.

I’ve been to gloomy London a few times and yet, it feels like it is never enough. There are still many places I have yet to visit and explore.

I miss sipping amazingly smooth, sweet and fruity coffee in beautifully thought out coffee joints. Walking slowly in art galleries and museums. Awing endlessly at the architecture of churches. Mesmerized by culture. Strolls at the park. Ahhh, let’s not forget my shopping while I’m there.

I told myself this year I’d travel more and explore other countries. But a lil piece of me says pop by London. Ensure it is in your plans too.

Indeed I want to do London again and explore more places.

Oh Dear Sleep

You just don’t know how I crave and would do anything for some quality sleep. The familiarity that I miss. I do sleep. I nap too between meets. But I’m constantly tired. My eyes are dry and red.

Rain Drops

The rain has been pouring,
For many days,
For many nights.

It has been a challenge,
It has been difficult.

Promises have been made,
Promises have been broken.

Lies had been strung,
Truth has been blinded.

Easy has been chosen,
Great has been neglected.

Pain is to be endured,
While laughter is crafted.
