“Money can’t buy you class. “

Boys & Berries

Good god! I’ve been missing Boys & Berries. I can’t seem to find it here. Sigh.

I remember the winter days when I stood by the roadside and enjoying every bit of it. Blissful. Shivering yet enjoying it. Strange how life works doesn’t it?

Speaking about how life works. How does it really work? Do you live to impress others? To make them like you? Or do you pretend?

I personally don’t play pretend well. I do not try to impress or make others like me. Am true to myself. I don’t even dress to impress. I love dressing up and that’s how a woman should be. Always looking her best.

I don’t try to fit in. Because I am proud of being the individual I am. Am different from you, so be it. I believe in my principles and won’t falter. I won’t kick it all behind just to fit in or be cool. Have you not heard?

It’s uncool to be cool.

Saying “NO”

At the age of 24, I still get myself into trouble by being nice. Perhaps I should stop being nice and be mean. But that’s just not in my nature.

I find it hard to say no to help others. I don’t know why but I feel like it is partly my duty to be nice and to help others. Maybe the fluffy heart’s too soft. Maybe I don’t have the selfish bone in me. One thing for sure is that I need to stop being a pleaser. Well not to everyone but to those selected ungrateful, downright selfish and egotistic people.

I finally did say a “NO” the other day. It felt good. I pretty much felt so proud of myself. Possibly it’s my size, people take me for granted cause am small. So I don’t look tough or even intimidating.

It’s ok. There’ll be more “NO’s” coming out of my mouth to those that should not be pleased. Shoo. Go away.

Perhaps It Was The Coffee

Am wider awake at almost 4am. I was sleepy at 12, so I turned to bed. But instead here I am wide awake. Sigh.

As most of you might know, I run an online boutique. Sounds hip? Haha. Don’t be fooled.

It seems that new online boutique spurs like mushroom after a rain. More and more online boutiques are available day by day. It’s crazy. It’s tough to keep up with the competition out there. I’ve been doing this since 2007. After getting some encouragement, advice and help from family and friends. It is a great way to express your fashion sense, sharing your passion in fashion and making others beautiful. Also a good source for some little extra cash.

But, it isn’t as easy as it seems. I truly think that it is tougher than handling a physical boutique. Why so? Read on.

1. Customers bargain though it’s clearly stated as NON-NEGOTIABLE. Prices for clothes sold online are relatively cheaper than buying it offline. This is because we do not have a physical boutique. We take very little profit compared to them.

2. Customers start to call you by the name that your friends call you. Do you actually know me? Or perhaps giving me nicknames such as “Sis”. That’s just so wrong at every level. I hate it. I truly do, when people who are not close to me call me by any sort of nickname.

3. Customers who assumes postage is free. Postage is already at it’s bare minimum. You want it free some more? Please do consider the fact that we have to drive to the post office. This takes petrol and parking. It can’t be free, unless stated.

4. Every shop or every business has it’s downtime ain’t it? So as a normal human being, I need to sleep. Please don’t text me at 3 am saying you want that top. It won’t go anywhere. I’d be asleep. Stop texting at the sound of midnight. Please I’d be nicer to you if you did that for me.

5. I only hold the items for 48 hours. Don’t throw a BT if you didn’t reply or confirm with me within the 48 hours. It’s a policy I hold. Everybody deserves to have a chance. Others want it too…perhaps even more than you wanted.

6. I will post it out in the morning if you paid the night before. But if you pay before 12 noon, if I am free. I’d go send it for you.

There’s a few more but this are the basics of them all. Please girls, I love you all for being such a supportive customer. But do respect my needs as well. Do send suggestion on how to improve jujuwiwitata’s. Or if there are any items that you wished I sold.

Thanx. Lotsa love.

The Brave Drink

Alcohol is an organic compound from the hydroxyl group that is bound together by a carbon atom. Also refers to ethanol which is found in the alcoholic beverages.

Alcoholic beverages are commonly known as alcohol. Alcohol is categorized into three groups : beers, wines and spirits.

Beer

Beer is largely consumed and is the oldest type of alcohol. It is also very popular that it is rated third most consumed drinks after water and tea. It’s mainly derived from cereal grains. Drinking beer at a warmer temperature brings out the flavour while drinking beer at a cooler temperature is believed to be more refreshing.

Wine

Wine is made out of fermented grape juice. Its taste is sweet and rich. The older the wine, the better it taste. Some people collect wine, the value of older wine is really expensive.

Spirit

Spirit us also known as distilled beverage or liquor. It is a drinkable liquid that contains ethanol that is made from distilled fermented grain, fruit or vegetables. There are no sugar added.

I do not consume alcohol. It is against my religious beliefs and my personal belief. But I have nothing against individuals who drinks. That is a choice that they have made. So be it. For as long as they respect my decision and do not force me into drinking, I’ll be fine.

I dislike it when people use alcohol as an excuse for their behaviour. Drinking alcohol comes responsibility. There has been so many cases where this phrase is being used, “It wasn’t me. It was the alcohol talking.”

Both girls and guys take advantage of this drunken status. Doing outrages things that they wouldn’t normally do. Mostly this drunken actions would lead to regrets, while some might be great. Oh yes, shall we not forget the hangover that occurs the next day.

Drunkards can also be a sore sight. Especially if their girls. Turning red, stripping clothes off, chasing after guys, kissing another girl, some start getting physical. This is an excuse to seek attention from guys. To a certain point it would seem hot and sexy. But once you pass the barrier of disrespecting yourself. It makes you cheap and easy.

Remember, drinking comes with great responsibilities.

Consuming too much alcohol can lead to alcoholism which has it’s effects. Alcohol’s effects is divided into two : short term and long term.

So, drink wisely.

Leg Shaking

Last weekend, my father treated us to a movie and a scrumptious dinner at Fatty Crab. It’s rather difficult to gather all of us together. Yes, we are still living under the same roof yet this can happen.

So we went to catch Marley & Me and had dinner. During dinner, I saw a young lady seated on her chair with her legs folded on it (bersila on her chair). Not only was she doing this in a restaurant, she shake her legs as she was eating with her folded legs. Oh my, was that bad enough? She continued sewing when she was done with dinner. She did it even when she had her legs on the ground.

She than started talking to her fellow family members and GOD! She was loud. It felt like she was sharing her conversation with everyone there.

What happened to all the young ladies? Have the forgotten their manners? Table ethics?

A note to them guys out there, choose your girls properly. As for you girls, don’t shake your legs when you are seated. It is not a pretty sight.
