Miss Much?
Been MIA-ing again haven’t I? Haha. Busy growing up I must say
I’ve been having a ball lately. Life is all good in the hood baybeh.
Last Saturday was Urbanscapes 2010. This year, I was not a vendor. Instead I was there to enjoy myself with my colleagues and friends. Which turned out to be a blast. Had so much fun. Though we decided on going at the very last minute. It sure was well worth the heat. There was a lil drama in it. But all I can conclude is I had a good time with the bestest company. What more could a girl ask for ey?
How was your weekend? Here’s a recap on last year’s Urbanscapes.
That Weekend
I’ve not had a decent update for a while now. Why so? I’ve been busy with a lot of things. From work to family to friends.
Organized a BBQ party a few weeks back. It was a whole lot of fun. We had to invite new people to the BBQ. I brought my Brissy friends, Ummi invited her Japan friends and there was us the BBGSians. Oh let’s not forget two Subangnians as well.
The venue was at Ummi’s place, Astana Kasih. Her backyard is spacious and quite well lit. Mats were placed with balloons and candles too. We had fun on the mat. Some sat, some was laying down.
Played a few rounds of UNO and “Pembunuh & Polis” (Killer & Police). “Pembunuh & Pencuri” (Killer & Police) is a game that Alia B taught us. It’s fun. Yet it’s stressful. It can take hours to actually catch the Pembunuh (Killer). How do you play it? The killer has to wink to kill their prey. The police must try to catch him/her. If he succeeds, game ends. We also played “Monyet-Monyet” (Monkey Monkey). One ball, a group and one monkey who has to try to catch the ball. Well, Alia was the Monkey throughout the night. We were pretty got players I must say.
We stayed til quite late, as Ummi’s dad Encik Nasir was not around. How generous of him to allow us to use his backyard for a BBQ! Gotta love him and his generosity!
A couple of pictures from that night. Should gather more often la people!
Incomplete. We missed you, Liyana.
We were watching the balloon slowly disappearing into the black sky.
Erfan with his awesome blue tatas!
Shuhid aka Mot, the celebrated.
Ummi, the host.
Quarter of A Century
No longer early twenties. Not yet late twenties. Now I am right in between. Am officially mid twenties. Turned 25 on Monday. While my mum turned 53. Yes, we were both born on the very same day. Pretty cool ain’t it?
I had a gut feeling that this year’s birthday would be awesome. Boy was I right. It was truly magnificent. I feel really special, loved, blessed and flattered. It was good. I took my family out for a Sunday brunch as Monday was a working day. Celebrated mum and myself. Went out the whole day. Scouted some interesting stuff that I wouldn’t mind owning soon :p
I purposely removed the facebook birthday reminder. I wanted to see how many actually remembered my birthday without the help of it. It feels like you are obligated to wish me coz there’s a reminder on the misserable right hand panel. I for one, have a hard copy of all my TRUE friend’s birthdates in my moleskin. Oh, story of the moleskin for another day. I still miss my bookbindersdesign like crazy! It was a test for my friends. Some aced it. Some didn’t
Anyways, my birthday was a truly amazing one. My set of girlfriends tried to surprise me. But if failed. Mot, asked me if I was free on Monday. So I made space for them. Everyone else thought I didn’t know about it. Reason being, Ummi was suppose to be my designated driver but she isn’t so familiar with roads just yet as she just got back from Japan. Hehe. So they had to tell me the whereabouts. But I love them for the effort nonetheless.
I got off work pretty late that day itself. So I was in a rush to get ready. Threw on an assemble in split second. Ummi was already downstairs. As I walked towards the car, I saw balloons. So pretty, they were lilac in colour. Am guessing they don’t know my favourite colour or they were just trying to be safe. But they were real pretty. So off we went to KL. The venue was then revealed. Fullhouse, Yap Kwan Seng. Luckily there was no jam. We were the second to arrive.
I helped them setup the table for the party. Hehe. How cute. The birthday girl helping out
I was so happy to meet up with my girls. Izyan, who just came back from Japan was there too. Liza, the uber busy fierce career woman. Liyana, the cutest little doctor. Mot, the workaholic auditor who loves to watch movies and work part time. Ummi, the quirky fashionista. It’s amazing how we have all been to different parts of the world. Got seperated. Yet still can be great friends. With different characteristics and what nots. We click together like a magnet. I love this set of girls. Their like the sisters I never had.

My awesome set of girlfriends.
Izyan & I!
Mot & I.

Thank you so much girls!
Happy 53rd Ibu!
I have a feeling that this year would be a rockingly awesome year for me. Insyallah. Thank you for all the lovely wishes via facebook and also sms. Loving you long time.
Suddens
A lot of things happened lately. Some good, some bad.
During my long Chinese New Year holiday, my family and I went on an impromptu trip to Penang. Oh Penang and it’s glorious and scrumptious food. It was purely a gamble. Confirmed the plans that night and off we went. No hotel bookings no nothing! Had to scout around for hotels. Most were fully booked. But we managed to get a small room in the city.
The trip was fun. Good rest. It was also the very first time I did a long distance drive in my little princess. Dad said am all grown up now
Oh yes, am so sorry for the slow updates. My domain got hacked last week. Lucky for me, my big brother is a whizz. He fixed it. So am still blogging here. Alhamdulillah.
Btw, I was wondering…should I post more of my daily outfit pictures or stuff like that? What say you?
Tired
I am so tired. Been going to Palace of The Golden Horses for the past two days.
The hours are late and we reach there at the wee hours. I need to get some rest. I’ve got so much to tell. I miss my friends too. Oh yes, I think somebody punctured my tyre today. I left it at the office since 6am. I came back with a flat!
How horrible! There goes my money. Another trip to the tyre specialist ![]()
Recap
As mention in my previous post, I was to begin a new chapter in life. Hehe. Which actually meant, I got a job.
Work has been alright for now. Just that I don’t exactly know my job scope just yet. For now am suppose to handle the English and Malay media. Which I’ve done great. Connections are getting stronger cause I try to make them feel appreciated and contact them personally not blasting out mass emails.

The first week itself was busy for me. It was the company’s annual dinner and book launch. Lucky for me, I made many new friends in an instant. It was fine yet tiring. Hours were long, weekend was filled.

brissy mates yo!
Though things were new for me. Trying to adapt to all this. I did slot in time for my friends. Erika and Ija was back from Brissy for a holiday. Nisa, Amad and Nisa’s sister Nurul, and her bf came down for a visit. So we had a lil get together. Brissy style, which meant a BBQ!

Family ;p
It was a lot of fun, catching up with all of my old friends. Loads of laughter and I finally learnt how to play tai-ti. A cook out is always fun.
Til the next round of BBQ and fun time!
TGME
TGME, YOU ROCK MY SOCKS!
Hehe. Although I was so late. I did go for the sole purpose of supporting you “kiddies”. Sorry yea. Will try to be there on time the next time.
It was a great night out. It was simple and short with the nearest and dearest. Oh let’s not forget the creepy 51 year old dude that tried to hit on us. Saying girls need to have great hair and pretty pearls. That’s all a guy looks for. WTH!
Like seriously dude, you are 51! A wife at home with so many kids. Argh.
But nevertheless, it was fun. Finally hit The Library. I must say it’s totally over-rated. Sardine pack, though we had seats. It’s just not to my liking. Too many people. Oh yes, Johanna was right. There’s no freaking hot, cute guys left in KL! It was such a let down, no hotties to go feast our eyes on. Shish.
It’s a holiday tomorrow. I can wake up late. Yeay. But then again, I’ve to work. Charity event. Not just that, I’ve an engagement to attend and perhaps partying that night as well. Saturday’s a working day. Can I pull it off yo? I hardly doubt it. Til tomorrow comes. Nights!
Dear Santa
Dear Santa,
I have been a very good girl this year. I know that for a fact to be honest. I’ve been doing all my chores. Saying my prayers. Being an obedient child. A great sister. An awesome friend. Helping others and many more.
I’ve been so nice to others that I have been taken for granted more than once. I’ve been hurt too.
So please Santa, grant me three of my wishes.
1. A new shiny toy. It’ll keep me happy for a long time.
2. A holiday with my friends and family.
3. A token…of appreciation.
That’s not much right Santa? A girl would normally ask for oh so many things. But this is all I want for now.
Thank you.
xx

p/s: I don’t have a chimney so I’ll open my window just for you. I’ll bake you chocolate chip cookies and a nice warm mug of milk. I’ll even leave some of my favourite marshmallows for you.
