TGME

TGME, YOU ROCK MY SOCKS!

Hehe. Although I was so late. I did go for the sole purpose of supporting you “kiddies”. Sorry yea. Will try to be there on time the next time.

It was a great night out. It was simple and short with the nearest and dearest. Oh let’s not forget the creepy 51 year old dude that tried to hit on us. Saying girls need to have great hair and pretty pearls. That’s all a guy looks for. WTH!

Like seriously dude, you are 51! A wife at home with so many kids. Argh.

But nevertheless, it was fun. Finally hit The Library. I must say it’s totally over-rated. Sardine pack, though we had seats. It’s just not to my liking. Too many people. Oh yes, Johanna was right. There’s no freaking hot, cute guys left in KL! It was such a let down, no hotties to go feast our eyes on. Shish.

It’s a holiday tomorrow. I can wake up late. Yeay. But then again, I’ve to work. Charity event. Not just that, I’ve an engagement to attend and perhaps partying that night as well. Saturday’s a working day. Can I pull it off yo? I hardly doubt it. Til tomorrow comes. Nights!

David Archuleta Live in Malaysia

the stage

the stage

American Idol’s cutie pie was down in Malaysia for a showcase. I am not a fan of him. For real, I love R&B and soul. So this was not exactly my cup of tea.

Yet, it was my mum’s birthday. She is a huge fan of David Archuleta, so I went through the hassle of getting her the tickets. Sources said it was not for sale. You have to win it to get it. So, winning it was. Though I must say thank you to my friend who won it for me. Thanks man.

The showcase was to be held at Sunway Amphitheatre. I drove us to Sunway Pyramid, grabbed lunch did a bit of shopping and finally left for the showcase. I have not visited Sunway Lagoon for a long time and it has change so much. The deco was different and there were more entrance now.

We had to wait with the fans to board the free shuttle bus to get to the Elephant Walk. Finally, I picked up the tickets from the Hitz FM crew. The walk to the theatre was definitely far. We had to walk downhill.

Finally got there to see a massive crowd flooding to the brims. And there I was thinking that there would not be such a crowd as tickets were not sold. Boy was I wrong. It was difficult to spot for a place so we ended up seating on the red bricks that had plants in them. Safely pushing the plants aside, I landed my ass on the bricks.

The were so many people. I think there was about 3000 people where as the theatre could only hold 1000. Imagine how pack, hot and smelly it was. There I was seated on the brick with a bored face.

It took me down memory lane. I remembered the days when I went there with my high school friends. I was there for The Moffats, 98 degrees, 911 and Shaggy. My my I sure loved free concerts don’t I? Hehe. It then made me realise that I might be a little too old for this. Indeed I was right. I looked around me to find so many young kids especially girls who were madly in love with David Archuleta. Some even had banners that says “Marry Me!”. Cute.

The wait was long before he finally came on stage to perform. He was awesome. Not being a fan and saying this…he truly is a great singer. He sounded exactly like his album. That’s crazy but so true. There was no off pitch, no lack of breathe. He was perfect. He did about 6 songs if I can remember. Only 2 that I know from his album. He also played the piano and serenaded the crowd with his sweet voice.

The showcase was less than an hour but it was worth the wait. Then it was time to leave, and the rain was still pouring. No choice we had to go. Walked in the drizzling rain and finally found some shelter. Got dad to rescue us and send us to the car. Lucky us, he was also in Subang.
