My Secret Place

A week back, I took a few of my friends to my secret place. I love this place because it reminds me so much of Three Monkeys. Obviously it ain’t the same. But the wood furnite just brings back old memories of Three Monkeys.

So my secret place is somewhere near home. Not so crowded, serves good food at a reasonable price. The ventilation isn’t great but I just love this place. It’s cozy. A few pictures from the night.

Slashin’ It Out!

1. What happened to self respect?

2. What happened to dignity?

3. What happend to being loyal to your partner?

4. Why are they so cheap?

5. Why are they constantly serving themselves as early dinner?

The sight of all this makes me want to barf. You disgust me. You really do.

Plaid and Leopard Print

I wasn’t feeling to good on Tuesday. I was feeling rather tired as I had trouble sleeping. But my awesome colleagues, suggested that we went for a movie to make me feel better. It was an excellent idea to be exact. It got my mind of everything around me.

We watched When in Rome. I think it’s one of the most best romantic comedy. It’s just hillarious.

Josh Duhamel played the character of Nick. He is the sweetest guy ever. Never giving up on the girl of his dream. He kept his face and played his game real well. What happened to men? Why aren’t there any like him?! I could use a Nick right now.

Kristen Bell played the character of Beth. The career minded girl who is doing so well with her job. Loving it to pieces. Never making time for love. I remember this quote she said “If he is more important than my job, then I am in love”. How true. How appropriate.

I truly enjoyed the movie. Yea it may be something that has an ending you can predict. Yet there are the goofy moments and the mystery to it as well.

Here’s Anderson, Layla, Liz and I at the movie. Great bunch of colleagues. Gotta love them! Life would suck without them at the office.

Quarter of A Century

No longer early twenties. Not yet late twenties. Now I am right in between. Am officially mid twenties. Turned 25 on Monday. While my mum turned 53. Yes, we were both born on the very same day. Pretty cool ain’t it?

I had a gut feeling that this year’s birthday would be awesome. Boy was I right. It was truly magnificent. I feel really special, loved, blessed and flattered. It was good. I took my family out for a Sunday brunch as Monday was a working day. Celebrated mum and myself. Went out the whole day. Scouted some interesting stuff that I wouldn’t mind owning soon :p

I purposely removed the facebook birthday reminder. I wanted to see how many actually remembered my birthday without the help of it. It feels like you are obligated to wish me coz there’s a reminder on the misserable right hand panel. I for one, have a hard copy of all my TRUE friend’s birthdates in my moleskin. Oh, story of the moleskin for another day. I still miss my bookbindersdesign like crazy! It was a test for my friends. Some aced it. Some didn’t :)

Anyways, my birthday was a truly amazing one. My set of girlfriends tried to surprise me. But if failed. Mot, asked me if I was free on Monday. So I made space for them. Everyone else thought I didn’t know about it. Reason being, Ummi was suppose to be my designated driver but she isn’t so familiar with roads just yet as she just got back from Japan. Hehe. So they had to tell me the whereabouts. But I love them for the effort nonetheless.

I got off work pretty late that day itself. So I was in a rush to get ready. Threw on an assemble in split second. Ummi was already downstairs. As I walked towards the car, I saw balloons. So pretty, they were lilac in colour. Am guessing they don’t know my favourite colour or they were just trying to be safe. But they were real pretty. So off we went to KL. The venue was then revealed. Fullhouse, Yap Kwan Seng. Luckily there was no jam. We were the second to arrive.

I helped them setup the table for the party. Hehe. How cute. The birthday girl helping out :P

I was so happy to meet up with my girls. Izyan, who just came back from Japan was there too. Liza, the uber busy fierce career woman. Liyana, the cutest little doctor. Mot, the workaholic auditor who loves to watch movies and work part time. Ummi, the quirky fashionista. It’s amazing how we have all been to different parts of the world. Got seperated. Yet still can be great friends. With different characteristics and what nots. We click together like a magnet. I love this set of girls. Their like the sisters I never had.

A Wedding at Duchess Place

A week back, I attended a fellow BBGSian’s wedding at Duchess Place. My date was none other than Ummi. The place is remarkably beautiful. It did feel like I was in a Gossip Girl episode. Love the tent. It was occupied with aircond which was excellent.

It seems like a lot of my schoolmates are getting hitched this year. I guess 25 is a good age for marriage or perhaps the love bug got them? Nevertheless, congratulations Azlin and Amar. You guys look great together. Good luck and enjoy this new chapther together.

A couple of pictures from the beautiful night. Met up with a lot of my ex schoolmates. Aimi was so lovely to perform two songs for the lovely couple. We girls then continued our night at Starbucks.

Sun Fun Sunday

My weekend has been terrific! Did a lot within the two days. Had very little rest but it was truly fulfilling. Went to a lot of malls in the short span of two days. Just to look for something I might be interested in buying using my Topshop voucher. Yet, I didn’t find for something that I would fall head over heels in love with. Shish.

But my Sunday was awesome with my awesome girlfriends. A second, a minute, an hour or a day with them is just pure bliss. Sadly not all of us were present. Ummi was in Greece. Mot was in Perak. Izyan had things to settle for her first day of work. Here are some pictures of us having a lot of fun in the sun on a sunny Sunday.
