Under The Weather

The haze has really been acting up. You can smell how bad our air is now. It’s so bad that you can taste burnt in your mouth. I’ve started wearing a mask. It may look right down ridiculous or even kiasu. But heck, my life is more important.
It’s not just the haze that is scaring me. The weather is getting eratic, one second it’s all scortching hot. The next second it’s raining cats and dogs.
Many of us are frequent visitors to the clinic. This sudden changes in the weather leads to migrane, fever, flu, asthma and many more.
To make things worst, the number of H1N1 cases has increased rapidly. Total of death has been alarming. It’s a real silent killer. I’ve personally experienced someone whom I know, dying from it. So please take precaution. Our lives are precious.
When you fall sick or ill, what cross your mind? As for me, it would be how he used to take care of me. Such gentleness, such patiences, the attentiveness and the love. The encouraging words. I miss that warmth.
